1999 European Bench Press Championships Invitation


Sanctioned by the European Powerlifting Federation, the Hungarian Powerlifting Federation invites the EPF Member Nations to compete in the 1999 European Bench Press Championships.
  • Meet Director: Lajos Bajcsi, with Technical Director Andras Ronaszeki. Hungarian Powerlifting Federation, Gvadany u. 33-39 1144 Budapest. Tel/Fax +36-1-3633044.
  • Host City: Györ, Hungary.
  • Date: 5th to 8th of August 1999.
  • Venue: Mihaly Magvasi Sports Hall - 2km outside of the town.
  • Hotels: Hotel Robinson, 82 beds, 3km from centre of Gyö, shuttle to venue. City Centre Hotels: Hotel Termal 34 beds, Hotel Klastrom 74 beds, Pension Cziraki 14 beds, Hotel Panorama 50 beds, Hotel Paar 20 beds, Dunube Pension 20 beds, Pension Teatrum 14 beds, Hotel Golden Ball 200-50 beds.
  • Hotel Rates: Single rooms, 80DM DM per person per night. Double rooms 70DM per person per night. Triple rooms, 60DM per night per person. All rate include breakfast. Participating Nations must book their hotels by 1st July 1999 at the latest. Each team manager is responsible for the payment of their own Hotel Bill.
  • Technical Meeting: 2000hrs, Thursday 5th of August 1999, at Mihaly Magvasi Sports Hall,
  • Arrivals: Budapest Airport - transfer to Hotel 30DM one-way, Teams must provide exact arrival times and number in party. Train - Györ Station.
  • Scales and Training: At the Venue.
  • Flags, Anthems, Photographs and Visas: Each team must bring its own national flag and anthem. For identification and security reasons, each lifter and official must provide a photograph. Visas may also be necessary.
  • Closing Banquet: 1900hrs, Sunday 8th August 1999, at Vaskakas Taverne restaurant. 30DM each for lifters, officials and other team members.
  • Participation Fee: 30DM for each lifter. Fee includes Bonus McDonald, Mozart Cafe, Wiener Coffee House and bathing facilities in the city.
  • Doping Control Fee: 50DM for each entered lifter, payable in DM at the Technical Meeting.
  • Provisonal Timetable: Please note that changes of the timetable are possible depending on the number of nominations for each class at the Technical Meeting. Victory ceremonies will be held after each section of the competition.
    Opening Ceremony: 1130hrs, Friday 6th August 1999, at the Venue.
